Xbmc Splash Screen
A splash screen has been implemented for Xbox media center. I'm not sure, but I'm guessing this will show up after Microsoft's boot up animation. While this sounds great as far as making Xbmc look more professional, it also sounds like something that will stall booting to Xbmc. I keep mine on 24/7, but this still sounds odd. Maybe someone can clear up exactly what the splash screen will do, and when it will be invoked.

Saw your post on the XBMC forums, I must say really good idea for a site. The XBMC homepage doesn't offer too much and it's hard to keep track of all the threads about scripts and what not through the forums. Good luck with the site and everything else.

The splash screen loads a png. It'd take literally a few milliseconds to achieve this.
If the splash screen is not present, nothing will be shown.
I don't think the time is too much of an issue.

Great. Sounds awesome. It should be interesting to see what ol' Choke comes up with for some splash screens.
I like that you can take it away as well. Its nice to have the option.

Nice! I was hoping that the screen would be displayed *while* Xbmc was doing other work, so it would not be adding to the boot process. This way no time is being lost. Very Efficient.
Thanks for the info Charly
